OT Renardo Foster: Rams To Cut Former ATL Starter by Ed Thompson of ScoutNFLNetwork.com, September 4, 2009 at 7:26pm ET
Renardo Foster Profile
An NFL Source has told Scout.com that offensive tackle Renardo Foster is among the players who will be released by the St. Louis Rams.
Foster was originally signed by the Atlanta Falcons in 2007 as an undrafted free agent. But the 6-foot-7, 340-pound was inserted into the starting lineup in mid-October when Wayne Gandy was injured. Unfortunately for Foster, his rise through the ranks in Atlanta was cut short when he tore his ACL during his second NFL start.
After spending last year on the Physically Unable to Perform list because of the knee injury, Foster was waived by Atlanta earlier this year. After being awarded to the Rams through the waiver claim, Foster appeared in all four of the team's preseason games.
Foster has experience at both guard positions and as a center.
