LB Vince Redd: Chiefs Waive OLB and G/C

The Kansas City Chiefs have waived OLB Vince Redd and C/G Brian De La Puente, the team announced Monday.

Redd was claimed off waivers from New England on August 4th. He played in five games for the Patriots in 2008.

A source said that New England decided to waive Redd because they are expected to use more 4-3 defensive fronts this season.

De La Puente spent time on the Chiefs 53-man roster and practice squad in 2008 after being claimed off waivers from the San Francisco 49ers.
