2008: Gordon rushed for 539 yards on 63 carries and scored 10 touchdowns. He caught 49 passes for 761 yards and nine touchdowns.
Defensively, the senior had 38 total tackles with 31 of them solo efforts. He intercepted five passes with 154 yards in returns.
Eleven punt returns for 182 yards and 11 kick returns for 247 yards.
Gordon and his team won the state championship over Maryville who was 74-0. Gordon was named MVP of the game with 70 total yards (45 receiving and 25 rushing including the three yard score that won the game 10-7). Mr. Football Finalist 4A Back of the Year, and First Team All-State TSWA, Mobile Press Register Super Southeast 120.
2007: Gordon recorded 41 catches for 816 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior season. He had 77 tackles, three interceptions with two returned for touchdowns. He also had a kick-off and a punt returned for a touchdown.
He was named AP All-State, Tennesseean All-Mid-State, Region Defensive MVP and All-City.
