Find out the latest about Sean Conway and his decision to make his verbal commitment today. Learn more about which team Conway chose and why he made his choice.

Sean Conway, 6’3, 280 pounds from Nashville-Father Ryan reported, “I committed to Western Kentucky today. The facilities are awesome and I really liked the academics.” He went on to say of the coaching staff at Western Kentucky, “The coaches are great. I really like them a lot especially the offensive line coach. I really connected with him.” One coach that really stood out Conway was the offensive line coach, coach Walter Wells. He explained, “He is just very enthusiastic. He knows a lot about the offensive line. He has a great competitive attitude and so do I so I think we will get a long really good.”

The visit for Conway was a signal for him that Western Kentucky was the right place for him to continue his career. He said of the visit, “The first day we went through the academics. I went to a sports management class and talked to the director about the program.”

Conway was on his official visit this weekend. While on his visit he was able to take in a lot of the components of the program and help make his decision. One of the important factors for Conway was the relationship he was able to develop with current players and a fellow recruit prospect. He commented on the players he met at Western Kentucky, “They are all awesome and good athletes. They are down to earth guys and I look forward to playing with them next year.”

He was also able to tour the campus and take in his official visit with another prospect. Conway said, “I was down there with Jebb Lenhart, he has already committed, and we will be good friends.” Lenhart has been committed to Western Kentucky since early in the football season. Lenhart has been working to help the Hilltoppers in their recruiting of the Conway. For Conway he said of Lenhart’s reaction to his commitment, “He was excited and he has wanted me to do it for awhile.”

Making the decision was a big relief for Conway. He said, “I am relieved because coaches from both schools have been calling me about their schools and I just felt ready to make my decision. I am happy.” He added, “The thing that stood out to me is that everything is close. The facility is all in one area. The facilities are top notch and look amazing.”
