He was able to get up to Knoxville a few weeks ago to visit Tennessee. He said, "It went well. I went up there and talked to Coach Fulmer, Coach Caldwell, Coach Slade, Coach Chavis, and Coach Slayton. We talked about what position I was going to play. I went up there, but there is still no offer. I was expecting an offer, but there is still not one. I'm still interested. I attended camp last Saturday and had a pretty good showing up there."
Jones commented, "Right now I've been getting a lot of attention from Auburn, Alabama, Louisville, Southern Mississippi, North Carolina, and LSU. This summer I've already been to Tennessee. I plan on going to Auburn and Alabama."
Vanderbilt is one of his first visits of the summer. When asked if he had visited the Commodores he responded, "Not yet, but I'm going today." He said of Vanderbilt, "They are an up and coming program. I love the coaches because they told me I could come in and compete for the starting running back position."
Another in state program showing Jones a lot of interest is Middle Tennessee. He explained, "It's a school right around the corner. It's a school I would love to play for. I talked to Coach Bibee recently and he makes me feel like I'm wanted there."
Jones said of Memphis, "That's my hometown. I'm very familiar with everything that goes on around there. It would be a great place for me to play."
