Bo Gilroy, 6-1, 179 pound wide receiver from Brentwood – Ravenwood High School (Tenn.) is hoping to pick up a few more offers soon. Find out who is after the speedy wide receiver and what he thinks about some of the schools recruiting him.

Bo Gilroy reported, “I have an offer from Army.” He went on to say, “I have been to Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky, and Vanderbilt the past couple of days.”

“Eastern Kentucky has called me back and I’m expecting an offer from them.” explained Gilroy of his performance at their camp.

Staying close to home in the SEC Gilroy has been receiving a lot of attention from Vanderbilt. He commented, “I thought I did really well at Vanderbilt in the one on one drills. I didn’t time as well as I was hoping. Coach Cain has been recruiting me for Vanderbilt. He came up to me after the camp and said ‘they are definitely looking at me right now’”.

The relationships he has formed with Vanderbilt will definitely help the Commodores. He said, “I love how close it is. Coach Cain is really nice and I like the whole coaching staff up there. I went on a tour of the campus and I really liked it. The weight room was really nice.”

Gilroy took in a camp at Western Kentucky as well. He said, “I did well in the one on ones. I talked to Coach Leaf up there, he is the one recruiting me, he said, ‘they want to get me up there a little later in the summer and go from there’”.

To put a cap off to the summer Gilroy explained, “I’m going to go up to Louisville on July 13th. I have junior days at Army and Air Force. Air Force is showing interest in both track and football. They seem very interested.”

Does he expect to have another offer anytime soon? Gilroy said, “I think Eastern Kentucky or maybe Air Force.”

One of the hardest things to recruit a prospect to the service academies is the time commitment afterwards. Gilroy said, “It doesn’t bother me. I want to serve my country in some way whether it is over in Iraq or something I can do here in America.”

He will take in a visit to Army and Air Force this weekend. He is anxious to see West Point. He explained, “I know Coach Tice pretty well and we have had some good phone calls. West Point is a beautiful campus and I look forward to seeing it, I’ve heard some great things.”
