Randy Powell, 6-0, 195 pound athlete from Memphis – Kingsbury (Tenn.) has been receiving a lot of interest from several schools. Powell picked up his first offer this week.

Randy Powell said of his trip to camp at Memphis, “It went great. They offered me yesterday. I ran a 4.38 in the 40 at the camp. I talked with their defensive coordinator and he wants me to play safety.”

He said of his offer, “For one it’s my hometown. I know the area and I know the coaches and they seem like cool people to be around.” As far as possibly committing to Memphis, “I might. It depends on how well the season starts off. I’m going to follow them around and see how things go.”

He said, “Arkansas State has been asking about me too.” Powell listed the schools that are showing him interest as, “Alabama Birmingham, Missouri, and Louisville.” The summer will continue to be busy for Powell. He said, “I’m going to Ole Miss on July 26th.”
