Tenn. OL Impresses at Camp

Sean Conway, 6'3.5, 280 pound offensive guard/center prospect from Nashville – Father Ryan (Tenn.) had an impressive showing today at Mississippi State's camp. Conway spoke about his day and his prospects of landing his first offer.

Sean Conway said of Mississippi State, "It was a really nice campus. The facilities were awesome."

He commented on his performance, "I thought I did well today. I ran a 5.2 in the 40 yard dash, in the shuttle I ran a 4.9, I had a vertical of 24.5 inches, and I benched 185 pounds 27 times."

Conway turned some heads today including the offensive line coach from Mississippi State. He explained, "I talked to the offensive line coach, Coach Grimes. He thought very highly of me and thought I was a good athlete. He said I would probably get a college scholarship in the SEC somewhere just not Mississippi State, because they already have enough centers and guards and they are looking for tackles."

The camping season has just begun for Conway. He added, "I'm going to Middle Tennessee State tomorrow and do the same thing to get a scholarship somewhere. I will also be going to Tennessee on June 14th."

"I'm being recruited pretty heavily by Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Tennessee, Duke, and Auburn has sent me a few letters." commented Conway.

He said of his summer plans, "I would like to see Auburn and Kentucky. I'm going to camps at Middle Tennessee, Tennessee, and Western Kentucky."

Right now Conway is looking for his first offer but feels it could be soon. He said, "I think Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, and Tennessee are interested. I'm going to go to their camps and show them I can play."
