Lail spoke about the schools recruiting him by saying, "With Auburn I like how involved they've been with me with letters and the coaches contacting the school."

He said of Marshall, "Being able to talk to the coaches and being involved with them in the recruiting process."

"Definitely the thing at Stanford is the education." commented Lail.

The summer will be busy for Lail, "I'm definitely going to Auburn, Marshall, and Vanderbilt." He commented about other schools showing interest, "Middle Tennessee State and Tennessee are some schools have been real involved with my recruiting process."

He feels this season could be another good year for William Blount. He said, "I feel personally that our defense will be just as strong as this past year. Offensively we may not be as high powered, but just as hard working and should end up in the same place."

As a leader on the defense he has high expectations, "Honestly, I don't think we should go anywhere below 10 – 0 regular season. If you're planning on losing a game, then you are just in the wrong sport." Lail added, "Region 2-5A in my own opinion is the hardest region of any classification in Tennessee football."
