Hunter Beedle gaining some interests

Hunter Beedle, a 6-3, 270 pound, offensive guard from Kingsport – Sullivan South (Tenn.) is getting some interest and hopes to secure his first offer this summer. Find out who Beedle is getting interest from and what he expects of his team this season.

Hunter Beedle, who does not have his first offer, spoke of some of the schools recruiting. He said, "Middle Tennessee State came to spring practice and they've called several times."

He went on to say, "Virginia Tech came to school, talked to Coach Carter, and called several times and so has Western Kentucky."

Beedle reported, "I haven't been to any of the schools but I'm going to there camps." However Beedle hopes to change that over the summer by attending a few camps. He commented, "I'm going to attend MTSU, Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and Duke."

He went on to explain what he is looking for by saying, "I am looking for education, tradition of the program, how the coaches act around me, and overall atmosphere."

On the field Beedle reports his strengths by saying, "I use my head a lot in the game. When I go after a block I really get to them. When I go after a linebacker I take the right angle." He added, "I think I'm really aggressive."

The spring was a time for improvement for Beedle's Sullivan South team. He explained, "When we had our spring practice I thought we looked really good. Out of the three years I've been at South I thought we looked the best overall because we have a bunch of athletes this year." Beedle went on to say of his teammates, "We don't have as many people playing both ways, so that's good."

Beedle spoke of his teams biggest game by saying, "That's hard to say. The conference championship if we make it there. Semi-finals if we play against Maryville and obviously the State Championship game, so those three games." He went on comment on his schools biggest rival, "Probably Tennessee High, it's our last conference game right before the playoffs."

When asked what makes Sullivan South special Beedle said, "I think our coaching staff has the best coaching staff in the East Tennessee area." He continued, "Everybody loves football at South. Everybody supports you, the teachers support you and it makes you feel like big man on campus."
