Seymour initiated the 2007 half of its wrestling season Thursday night continuing its winning ways at a multiple team dual meet hosted by Halls High School. The Eagles took down the Farragut Admirals with a score of 76 to 6 , before knocking off the Halls grapplers, 53 to 21. The two wins move Seymour’s record this season up to 20-1. | |||

In the meet against host Halls, the Eagles had a total of six pins. Winning team points for Seymour were: Marcus Reagan, 160 pounds (DEC 12-7); Cody Watson, 171 pounds (PN 1:37); Garrison Taylor, 189 pounds (PN 0:29); Chris Beard, 215 pounds (PN 0:25); Billy Edwards, 103 pounds (FFT); R.C. Robinson, 112 pounds (TEC 19-2); Ryan King, 130 pounds (PN 0:17); Tyler McCroskey, 135 pounds (PN 0:28); Isaac Legg, 140 pounds (PN 0:23); and Chuck Wilson, 152 pounds (DEC 8-5). Totaling seven pins overall in a lightening fast skirmish against Farragut, Seymour scored as follows: Chuck Wilson, 152 pounds (FFT); Marcus Reagan, 160 pounds (PN 0:57); Cody Watson, 171 pounds (FFT); Garrison Taylor, 189 pounds (PN 0:41); Chris Beard, 215 pounds (FFT); Steve Frazier, 285 pounds (PN 0:40); R.C. Robinson, 112 pounds (FFT); Michael Raimondi, 119 pounds (PN 0:54); Floyd Larson, 125 pounds (PN 0:37); Ryan King, 130 pounds (PN 0:16); Tyler McCroskey, 135 pounds (FFT); Isaac Legg, 140 pounds (PN 1:41); and Josh Gann, 145 pounds (DEC 19-6). In addition to the teams from Halls, Farragut and Seymour, Wayne County (KY) High School made a last minute appearance at the meet. The Pioneers competed with both host Halls and visiting Farragut, and the Eagles coaches put together a Junior Varsity team to log some mat time against Wayne County. Seymour’s next competition will be Saturday morning, January 6th, in a team invitational tournament at South Doyle High School, before facing Karns and Farragut on January 9th again at South Doyle, beginning around 6:30 p.m. |
