Midstate has 14 unbeatens

Fourteen Midstate high school football teams remain unbeaten as the midway point of the season approaches.

That elite group includes a pair of Metro programs: Maplewood (4-0) and Hillsboro (4-0).

Neither is a huge surprise. Each team is putting up gaudy statistics, averaging 40-plus points a game. Maplewood junior tailback Terrence Holt rushed for 365 yards and five touchdowns on 16 carries last week in a 52-21 win over Tullahoma.
