MONTEREY -- If there were an asterisk in the loss column for effort, Monterey High would have received it Friday night against Trousdale County.

The Wildcats, facing a rejuvanated Yellow Jacket squad celebrating the return of standout Blake Satterfield, scratched and clawed their way for four quarters before succumbing 35-19 to the defending Class A champs at Medley Field.
