Spartans up for it

Forgive White Station if it had taken the Spartans two quarters Friday to realize they were once again playing Region 8-5A football.

After all, with easy wins already this season over Briarcrest Christian, Kirby and Raleigh-Egypt, the Spartans hadn't exactly been tested since their 34-17 season-ending loss to Germantown in last year's Class 5A state playoffs.
