Rebels rely on kicking `weapon'

Kickers are always a world apart. They practice differently -- often separately -- from the offensive and defensive units of a football team, and they are the hero or the goat because all eyes focus on them during their rare trips onto the field.

Maryville coach George Quarles didn't need a reminder during the Rebels' 17-14 win over Alcoa Friday to know how valuable senior place-kicker Takayuki Koyano is to his squad.
