Tornadoes claim another victim

The crowd was excited, the students formed lines to let the players run through while entering the stadium, the cannons roared and the scene for high school football on this day was electric.
The tradition rich Loudon Redskins, off to the best start in many a year, had their sites set on victory number four and it would come at the expense of the defending state champions, The Tornadoes of Alcoa High School.
Problem was Alcoa would not subscribe to this theory.
The Tornadoes capitalized on numerous Loudon miscues and got 166 yards rushing and three touchdowns from Mr. Football and Tennessee commitment
Dustin Lindsey
to stake claim to a 28-0 victory.
The Redskins received the opening kickoff and proceeded to fumble on their initial play which Alcoa promptly converted into the first of Lindsey’s three scores.
The ensuing Loudon drive resulted in a punt which Alcoa junior receiver
Kyrus Lanxter
quickly took to the house, but a penalty called the masterful run back and Alcoa was forced to play offense.
Three play later
Joei Fiegler
hit Florida State commitment Brandon Warren on a crossing pattern which the burly tight end took 66 yards for the score to put the maroon and grey up 14-0.
Another Lindsey score from 55 yards out put the Tornadoes up 21-0 and that score stood until the half.
The second half was a much tougher affair with the Tornadoes managing another Lindsey score but little else as the tough minded Loudon defense did a great job of containing the powerful Alcoa machine the remainder of the contest.
A certain meeting down the road for these two will occur and that should be fun to watch.
