Wilson had a big Wednesday

While Petera Wilson was on the phone with one staff talking about his scholarship offer, his coach was on the phone with another school that was offering Wilson on Wednesday.

"It was pretty crazy," Petera Wilson said when describing the transactions that went down on Wednesday.

"I was talking to Coach Hinton from Ohio State about the offer from them and my coach was talking to Florida State. Both of those schools offered me at the same time.

"I have not had a chance to talk to FSU yet, but Coach Hinton told me about Ohio State, how they want to get me up there for a visit, and how the coaches really liked my film."

Wilson now claims 11 scholarship offers and he plans to hit the road this spring to take a look and some of the schools on his offer list.

"I am going to be visiting a lot of different schools in the spring and summer, but the ones I know I am definitely visiting are Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia, and Alabama. I do not know much about those schools yet, so I want to get on their campus, and learn about them. I know I have interest in them."

He does not know much about the two schools that offered him on Wednesday yet either.

"I do not really know anything about FSU and I only know what my dad has told me about Ohio State. He told me about the prestige of that program, I know a little about Urban Meyer, and my dad told me about the Ohio State history."

With the 6-foot-2, 220 pound linebacker out of Memphis (Tenn.) White Station not knowing too much about the many schools pursuing him at this time, he does not see himself making an early decision.

"I plan on taking my official visits before I commit. I do not want to commit without having all of the needed knowledge. I need to see different things, talk more with the coaches, and see how I feel about each school I am interested in first."

Wilson had over 100 tackles, 10 sacks, and three forced fumbles in 2012.
