4-star RB makes decision

Corn Elder is one of the top running back prospects in the South for the 2013 class. The Nashville (TN) Ensworth star made a surprising commitment today to end the recruiting process.

Cornelius Elder is one of the top running back prospects in the South and he just ended the recruiting process one week after most of the 2013 class ended theirs.

"[I] just committed to the University of Miami," Elder said today. [It's] been my favorite school since I was little. [I'm] glad this [is] over with."

Elder, 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds, was one of the most productive running backs in the entire nation. He finished his senior season with 2,618 yards and 39 touchdowns for a team that went on to win a state championship.

Elder took recruiting visits to Auburn, Georgia Tech, Ohio State, UCLA, and Vanderbilt before making the decision not to sign last Wednesday.

He's now a Hurricane.
