Pair of visitors for Big East opener

Rick Pitino will host two for the Cardinals conference opener at the KFC Yum! Center on Wednesday

Louisville will host a pair of visitors on Wednesday evening when Providence visits the KFC Yum! Center for the program's Big East Conference opener.

Following an outstanding performance in guiding Christ Presbyterian Academy of Nashville to a victory in the King of Bluegrass tournament title game on December 23, Jalen Lindsey (6'6, 180) is back in the River City for a visit with the Louisville program.

With U of L head coach Rick Pitino in attendance at the event held at Fairdale high school, the Scout.com 5-star forward prospect scored 44 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the 83-71 win over Louisville Ballard. He averaged 26 points during the tournament and was named the Bob White Most Valuable Player.

In addition to the interest from Louisville, Lindsey, a 2014 prospect, currently holds offers from Alabama, Georgia Tech, Memphis, NC State, Vanderbilt and others.

Joining Lindsey on the visit is Christ Presbyterian Academy teammate Braxton Blackwell, a 2016 forward prospect.

Blackwell (6'6, 200) averaged 13 points during the King of the Bluegrass and was named to the All-Tournament team.
