**Ole Miss commits CB Zach Witchett and Quadarius Mireles lost a finished their junior college career with a 26-16 win
over Pearl River CC last Thursday night. Mireles out of Boynton
Beach, Fla.., was the workhorse for the Eagles all night, carrying the rock
21 times for 111 yards.This brings his season total to 38 receptions for 385
yards and four touchdowns. He also has 47 rushes for 249 yards and two touchdowns
Georgia native Zach Witchett did not play due to a hamstring
and ankle injury. He sat out the last five games of the season. He finished
the season with 12 solo tackles and four batted-down balls in four games of
action this season.
**Ole Miss commit DT Herbert Moore finished his high school
career last Thursday with a 23-0 loss to Memphis Whitehaven. Big "Herb"
as he is called by teammates and friends had eight tackles with two of them
coming for losses. The 6' 2", 320-pound defensive tackle finished the season
with 54 tackles, 13 tackles for losses, four sacks, one batted-down ball, four
fumble recoveries, and one defensive touchdown.
Scout.com's No. 66 rated defensive tackle had 46 tackles and eight sacks as
a junior.
**Carver (LA) and RB Eugene Brazley had a tough 36-34 loss
to South Plaquemines. Eugene had 9 carries for 172 yards and three touchdowns
in the contest.
Scout.com's No. 72 rated tailback has 93 carries for 965 yards and thirteen
touchdowns through the first seven games of action. Brazley also has 15 receptions
for 209 yards and three touchdowns.
Last season Brazley was one of the top play makers in the Big Easy as he had
over 1,800 yards of offense and 24 TDs.
**Jackson Prep defeated Parkland Aca 36-0 last Friday. The
four-star QB was 15-21 for the night with 138 passing yards and two touchdowns
in the contest. Through ten games of action the Dandy Dozen selection is 74-132
for 1,278 yards and 17 TDs. He has also rushed for over 200 yards.
Jackson Prep (10-0) faces MRA in the first round of the playoffs tonight.
**WR Dannon
Cavil and Madison (TX) had a bye last week. In eight games of action
Dannon now has 20 receptions for 500 yards and five TDs.
Scout.com's No. 123 ranked receiver had 27 catches for 565 yards and eight TDs
his sophomore campaign for Lake Travis (TX). He transferred to Madison after
his sophomore campaign but tore his hamstring and missed the entire regular
season as a junior.
**Byhalia (MS) and OT Davion Johnson
defeated North Panola 25-0 last Friday to run their record to 7-4. Scout.com's
No. 34 rated offensive tackle had 11 pancakes in the game. The Dandy Dozen offensive
tackle has totaled 86 pancake blocks through eleven games.
Last season the 6' 5", 325-pound left tackle was named first team All-State.
Byhalia faces Mooreville tonight in the first round of the playoffs.
**Colquitt County (GA) and WR/CB Bobby Hill lost to Valdosta
36-34 last Friday. The Ole Miss commit had a big game as he hauled in eight
catches for 112 yards.
He now has 43 catches for 657 yards and four TDs through eight games of action.
Last season the 6' 0", 165-pound athlete 13 catches for 368 yards and six
TDs. On the defensive side of the ball, where he is projected to play at Ole
Miss, he intercepted five passes.
Colquitt County (5-3) faces Camden County tonight.
**LB Rashawn Smith and Florence (AL) defeated Sparkman 54-26
last Friday. The Ole Miss commit had 6 tackles and a sack on the night. He has
totaled 85 tackles and over 250 rushing yards through nine games of action
Smith was selected to the MS/AL All-Star game in December.
Florence faces Sparkman tonight.
**Four-star TE Christian
Morgan and Prestonwood Christian suffered their second loss of
the season to Nolan Catholic 33-21. Morgan had to sit out his second game in
a row due to a high ankle sprain.
The country's No. 12 rated tight end now has 20 catches for 216 yards and two
TDs on the year.

**Nickolas Brassell and Darious Cummings suffered their first loss in twenty games last Saturday to
ICC 24-23. Brassell had five receptions for 52 yards. This brings his season
total to 36 receptions for 472 yards and five TDs.
Cummings chipped in four tackles and a sack to bring his season total to 25
tackles, four for losses, and three sacks.
East MS CC (8-1) faces Copiah-Lincoln Community College this weekend in the
state semifinals.
