WR commit Bobby Hill has big night

The season is over for some, and not for others, as the playoff stretch begins this week for several and just around the corner for many. To find out how the 21 Ole Miss commits are doing this year, read below.

**QB Devante Kincade and Skyline (TX) defeated Richardson 49-20 last Friday to run their record to 7-1. The 4-Star Ole Miss quarterback commit was 17-22 for 251 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed for eight times for 79 yards and a touchdown.

In eight games of action the Army All-American is 103-163 for 1, 760 yards and 26 TD's. Devante has carried the ball 72 times for 718 yards and 9 TD's.

The nation's #12 ranked quarterback was a terror on the field last season as he passed for 3,270 yards and 37 touchdowns while also chipping in another 857 rushing yards and 17 TDs on his way to All-State honors.

**Gadsden City (AL) and Finesse Middleton had another heartbreaking loss against Huntsville as they lost the contest 35-32 in the last minute of the game. Three of the four losses for Gadsden City have come in the last minute of the game.

The Ole Miss hybrid commit chipped in 10 tackles, 6 for losses and a sack. That brings his season total to 63 tackles, 29 for losses and 11 sacks for the season.

Middleton had 45 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior manning the defensive tackle position. His season was cut short by a foot injury in the middle of the season but he did return for the playoffs. Middleton is expected to enroll at Ole Miss in December.

Finesse was selected to the MS/AL All-Star game in December.


**RB Peyton Barber and Milton (GA) suffered a 27-7 defeat to Walton 27-7. Peyton had 157 yards rushing and a touchdown on the night. Scout.com's No. 60 rated tailback has rushed for over 1,500 yards and 18 TDs in the first eight games of the season.

The bruising 225-pound back had over 1,160 rushing yards his sophomore campaign before breaking his foot in game three of his junior season. He missed the remainder of the '11 campaign.

Milton faces Cherokee tonight.




**Canton (MS) and Daronte Bouldin suffered a 14-6 to Jackson Provine last Friday. The 6' 5", 315-pound Dandy Dozen offensive tackle had five pancakes and three crackbacks in the game which runs his season total to 81 pancakes and 50 crackback blocks through nine games.

Canton is 4-6 and faces Jackson Lanier night.

** RB Mark Dodson and Whitehaven (Tenn) defeated Memphis East 23-0 last Thursday to run their regular season record to 10-0. Dodson had 265 yards rushing and two touchdowns in the contest.

Scout.com's No. 43 rated tailback finished the regular season with 208 carries for 2, 013 yards and 20 TDs. Last season he rushed for over 2,100 yards and 28 TDs. He was named first team All-State for his on-the-field accomplishments.

Whitehaven faces Collierville in the first round of the playoffs tonight.

 


 

 

 

**Champagnat Catholic (Hialeah, FL) and S Charles Williams lost to Barrington Christian 14-0 to bring their record to a disappointing 2-6 record. Williams is ranked the No. 52 rated safety by Scout.com but also doubles as his team's starting quarterback. He totaled 54 yards of offense and chipped in 6 tackles on defense.

Williams has 50 rushes for 300 rushing yards and four TDs as well as 192 passing yards and one TD. He's also contributed four catches for 62 yards and a touchdown on the season. On defense he leads their team with 4 interceptions and 46 tackles.

Champagnat Catholic faces Archbishop McCarthy tonight.

 

** TE Evan Engram and Hillgrove (GA) defeated Harrison 41-14 to move their overall record to 5-3. The Ole Miss tight end commit had six catches for 84 yards and a touchdown in the contest. Through eight games of action, Scout.com's No. 22 nationally rated tight end has 29 catches for 664 yards and six touchdowns.

Engram collected 20 receptions for 500 yards and six TDs as a junior.


**Derrick Jones and Eupora defeated East Webster 37-7 last Friday to move their record to 9-1. The 6' 3", 185-pound receiver/defensive back had a 28-yard touchdown catch, 29-yard touchdown catch and two interceptions in the game.

Through ten games of action Jones has 40 catches for 776 yards and eleven touchdowns. He has also chipped in a 95-yard kickoff and a 85-yard punt return for touchdowns and has 42 tackles and five interceptions on defense

Jones was selected to the MS/AL All-Star game in December.

**Grenada (MS) lost to South Panola 15-8 last Friday to run their record to 4-6. Trey Bledsoe had five catches for 30 yards and a touchdown. In six games of action he has 30 catches for 412 yards and five touchdowns on the season. He also has three interceptions on defense and a defensive touchdown.

Last season the 6' 2", 190-pound receiver caught 27 passes for 440 yards and seven TDs. While manning the safety position he posted 40 tackles and five interceptions.






**Ole Miss commits CB Zach Witchett and Quadarius Mireles lost a finished their junior college career with a 26-16 win over Pearl River CC last Thursday night. Mireles out of Boynton Beach, Fla.., was the workhorse for the Eagles all night, carrying the rock 21 times for 111 yards.This brings his season total to 38 receptions for 385 yards and four touchdowns. He also has 47 rushes for 249 yards and two touchdowns

Georgia native Zach Witchett did not play due to a hamstring and ankle injury. He sat out the last five games of the season. He finished the season with 12 solo tackles and four batted-down balls in four games of action this season.


**Ole Miss commit DT Herbert Moore finished his high school career last Thursday with a 23-0 loss to Memphis Whitehaven. Big "Herb" as he is called by teammates and friends had eight tackles with two of them coming for losses. The 6' 2", 320-pound defensive tackle finished the season with 54 tackles, 13 tackles for losses, four sacks, one batted-down ball, four fumble recoveries, and one defensive touchdown.

Scout.com's No. 66 rated defensive tackle had 46 tackles and eight sacks as a junior.


**Carver (LA) and RB Eugene Brazley had a tough 36-34 loss to South Plaquemines. Eugene had 9 carries for 172 yards and three touchdowns in the contest.

Scout.com's No. 72 rated tailback has 93 carries for 965 yards and thirteen touchdowns through the first seven games of action. Brazley also has 15 receptions for 209 yards and three touchdowns.

Last season Brazley was one of the top play makers in the Big Easy as he had over 1,800 yards of offense and 24 TDs.

**Jackson Prep defeated Parkland Aca 36-0 last Friday. The four-star QB was 15-21 for the night with 138 passing yards and two touchdowns in the contest. Through ten games of action the Dandy Dozen selection is 74-132 for 1,278 yards and 17 TDs. He has also rushed for over 200 yards.

Jackson Prep (10-0) faces MRA in the first round of the playoffs tonight.


 

 

 

 

 



**WR Dannon Cavil and Madison (TX) had a bye last week. In eight games of action Dannon now has 20 receptions for 500 yards and five TDs.

Scout.com's No. 123 ranked receiver had 27 catches for 565 yards and eight TDs his sophomore campaign for Lake Travis (TX). He transferred to Madison after his sophomore campaign but tore his hamstring and missed the entire regular season as a junior.




**Byhalia (MS) and OT Davion Johnson defeated North Panola 25-0 last Friday to run their record to 7-4. Scout.com's No. 34 rated offensive tackle had 11 pancakes in the game. The Dandy Dozen offensive tackle has totaled 86 pancake blocks through eleven games.

Last season the 6' 5", 325-pound left tackle was named first team All-State.

Byhalia faces Mooreville tonight in the first round of the playoffs.


**Colquitt County (GA) and WR/CB Bobby Hill lost to Valdosta 36-34 last Friday. The Ole Miss commit had a big game as he hauled in eight catches for 112 yards.

He now has 43 catches for 657 yards and four TDs through eight games of action.

Last season the 6' 0", 165-pound athlete 13 catches for 368 yards and six TDs. On the defensive side of the ball, where he is projected to play at Ole Miss, he intercepted five passes.

Colquitt County (5-3) faces Camden County tonight.




**LB Rashawn Smith and Florence (AL) defeated Sparkman 54-26 last Friday. The Ole Miss commit had 6 tackles and a sack on the night. He has totaled 85 tackles and over 250 rushing yards through nine games of action

Smith was selected to the MS/AL All-Star game in December.

Florence faces Sparkman tonight.



**Four-star TE Christian Morgan and Prestonwood Christian suffered their second loss of the season to Nolan Catholic 33-21. Morgan had to sit out his second game in a row due to a high ankle sprain.

The country's No. 12 rated tight end now has 20 catches for 216 yards and two TDs on the year.

**Nickolas Brassell and Darious Cummings suffered their first loss in twenty games last Saturday to ICC 24-23. Brassell had five receptions for 52 yards. This brings his season total to 36 receptions for 472 yards and five TDs.

Cummings chipped in four tackles and a sack to bring his season total to 25 tackles, four for losses, and three sacks.

East MS CC (8-1) faces Copiah-Lincoln Community College this weekend in the state semifinals.
